First Light Shelter

First Light Shelter is so much more than a building. To some, it is a temporary refuge. To many, it is a beacon of hope. First Light began in the basement of First Presbyterian Church in 1983 as an emergency night shelter run entirely by volunteers. The shelter initially accommodated 15 women, but would eventually provide safety for more than 40. It quickly became evident that additional space and services were needed to support homeless women in Birmingham.

First List approached Telegraph Creative needing a refreshed brand identity that truly reflected their mission. Through thoughtful collaboration and purposeful design, our team delivered a complete logo suite, brand patterns, and creative assets—all created specifically to help them continue to further their message of hope within the Birmingham community.
